Persian Bagface—Beena

Beena is a Persian Luri Bagface.

She is in beautiful original condition. Woven by the Nomadic people of Luri in Central Iran. The original function of this piece was to carry goods on the back of an animal such as a donkey or camel. When the back of a saddle bag became badly word, they were removed and the ornate front section was kept as a family heirloom or possible dowry.

These make excellent feature rugs and runners.
