Mavi (meaning blue in Turkish) is an overdyed patchwork rug.
Mavi is a beautiful XL patchwork rug, created from fragments of old knotted pile rugs. Pieces from vintage rugs are arranged in patchwork style (an art in itself) then stitched together in blanket stitch, using a super strong thread; 50% cotton, 50% non-flammable polyester.
Each rug is then backed with a heavy cotton canvas, making the finished product extremely durable. The standard of workmanship is very high and these pieces lie totally flat.
