Rostam is a Turkish overdyed patchwork rug. This rug has been created from fragments of old knotted pile rugs. Pieces from vintage rugs are arranged in patchwork style (an art in itself) then stitched together in blanket stitch, using a super strong thread; 50% cotton, 50% non-flammable polyester.
Each rug is then backed with a heavy cotton canvas, making the finished product extremely durable. The standard of workmanship is very high and these pieces lie totally flat.
Rostam is one of a pair and can be matched perfectly with the rug 'Ata' which is made from the same deep warm brown tones. Together they could cover a space of almost 6m x 4m.
