Today, they make wonderful wall-hangings, however equally can be used as a floor rug. The square shape makes the soufreh a very versatile kilim.
This particular Soufreh is a Balouch Soufreh from SouthWest Afghanistan. Multiple borders with intricate detailing. In excellent condition and was likely a dowry piece so have never been used.
