Bayram is a beautiful charcoal vintage overdyed rug.
These sturdy vintage knotted pile rugs come from the Western Anatolian region of Isparta. They were made between 1940 and 1960. They have now been recycled to create a thoroughly unique, modern and colourful floor covering.
The pile on these old/new rugs has been pared back, the original dyes neutralized, then the rug over-dyed with a deeply saturated single colour.
This rug has retained it's original pattern which has been picked up with blue dye, against the charcoal base with hints of chestnut brown.
