Mado is a very striking vintage knotted pile runner which was made in the mid 20th Century and is in original condition. This runner has a soft pile weave throughout the central area and have kilim weave at each end. Bold background colour of raspberry red with soe beautiful soft hues in the central design.
Originating from the Herki people who are of Kurdish descent and their homelands are the mountainous regions of Eastern Turkey, Iran and Iraq.
