Adalet is a Semi-Old Turkish Kilim Rug from the Thrace region, the European part of Turkey.
This kilim is extremely finely woven and is in good condition. There are some small age spots on the beige background which you can see on the first close up shot. These are not obvious and all part of the vintage beauty of the rug. The rug has been woven in a Pirot design which derives from the South Eastern Serbian town which was an important stop on the highway from Europe through to Constantinople (Istanbul). The designs are intricate and take many years to master.
