Naz is a Turkish overdyed pile rug.
She is in very good condition with original knotted pile still intact. Woven in thick wool with a lustrous feel. This rug is a refinement on the typical overdyed technique because the pile is left intact, giving a completely new and vibrant look.
The whole rug is dipped in colour, a very technically difficult job, as the wool in each rug reacts differently to the dyes. There is a great skill in getting just the right amount of colour saturation.
