Marwa is a Turkish patchwork rug.
It has been created from fragments of vintage knotted pile rugs. Pieces from different rugs vintage are arranged in patchwork style (an art in itself) then stitched together in blanket stitch, using a super strong thread; 50% cotton, 50% non-flammable polyester.
Unlike most other patchwork rugs in our collection that have been overdyed, this patchwork has been made using original pieces of beautiful rugs. They are have not been overdyed. The result is an interesting and totally unique piece that would make a perfect entrance rug, or anywhere for that matter.
Each rug is then backed with a heavy cotton canvas, making the finished product extremely durable. The standard of workmanship is very high and these pieces lie totally flat.
