Persian Bagface - Edip

Edip is a Persian Bakhtiari bagface.

This bagface is in excellent condition. Woven by the Nomadic people of Bakhtiari in Iran. The original function of this piece was to carry goods on the back of an animal such as a donkey or camel. When the back of a saddle bag became badly word, they were removed and the ornate front section was kept as a family heirloom or possible dowry.
