Darius is an Overdyed Patchwork Runner.
The pile on these vintage runners has been pared back, the original colours neutralized, then over-dyed with a deeply saturated single colour to create a floor covering which is unique, both in design and colour.
Pieces from these vintage rugs are arranged in patchwork style, in a striped design which is an art in itself then stitched together in Blanket Stitch, using a super strong thread; 50% cotton & 50% non-flammable polyester. Each one is then backed with a heavy cotton canvas making the finished product extremely strong and durable. The standard of workmanship is very high and these pieces lie totally flat.
