Tariq is a Persian Luri Besik. In excellent condition with beautiful colours and a combination of kilim weave at either end, joined to a more ornate soumak weave at the centre.
The original function of this piece was to hold items/goods for Nomadic people. It would hang from the tents/yurts like a bag.
These make excellent feature rugs and runners.
